Weekly Discussions
Each week a discussion section will be opened. It is hoped that every participant will contribute a reflection on what he or she has learned from reading the book and looking at the lectures and the questions.
You can also respond to what other people have written or to the responses other make to your own comments.
What is called a threaded discussion is used. This means that comments that are related to each other are connected.
Because this is the most important part of the study, please look it over carefully before the course begins to make sure that you understand how it works. If you have suggestions about how it might be improved, send your comments to kbedell@dnaco.net.
The "Getting Acquainted" discussion will be available during the whole study. As we begin to gather, please tell something about yourself and why you are participating in the study. Also, feel free to comment on what others write or ask questions. During the study, this will be a place where you can make comments about the process or share information that is not about the topic being discussed.
A sample discussion section is currently open so you can practice sending comments and reading comments from other people.
